Today is a very special day and I'm so glad you are joining me. Today, write. click. scrapbook is having a birthday. I am so honored to be a part of this celebration and am proud to be a contributor along with so many other women. I love the passion that each of these talented ladies have for preserving stories and who share so many amazing ideas so readily at one amazing location.

The June gallery is live at write. click. scrapbook and the theme this month is "Team Pairings" which I think has been my favorite to date. I was paired with the talented Francine Clouden. I love her style and enjoyed browsing through her blog for inspiration. Many of Francine's layouts contained multiple photos (love that), layered patterned paper and are fun/whimsical (and I'm all about that)!

I covered the heart with the numbers tape (love that stuff) and added a few splatters of glass glitter. The title was cut with my Cameo and inspired by this layout, by Marisa K.

Quotes & Flair

Hello everyone...a very happy Friday to you! I had some happy mail yesterday...my flair buttons from {a flair for buttons} showed up on my doorstep yesterday and I couldn't wait to use one so I pulled out my quote book and got busy.

I had only finished the cover so I put together my title page and my first quote page. Here's a look...

I decided to put a little glitter in my confetti bag, Let's just say I over did it a bit on the sparkle and I hope it stays in that bag or I'm gonna have a big mess on my hands.

I've been pinning quotes and sayings on Pinterest for a while now and I picked one by Oprah Winfrey, that went perfectly with the hot air balloon flair.

I love the quote..."Surround yourself only with people who are going to lift you higher!" That is such great advice, life is too short to spend it with people that only want to bring you down.

I also have a couple Vintage Street Market sneaks for you.

I'm excited with how they turned out and can't wait to share them with you next week!

I used the Party Games Paper Sheets & Tags for both of the cards. I really love the fun bright colors and graphics in the paper kit, especially the yellow crepe paper, which I used for all three of my April projects. Celebrating our Dad's

Happy Friday everyone! I have a layout to share today about Dad! Yes, I know Father's Day isn't until next month but over at write. click. scrapbook we've been busy sharing Father's Day ideas all week long so you have plenty of time to prepare.

Today we are sharing layouts all about Dad! Here is the layout I made...

I involved the kids in the journaling again. I kept it simple and had them write just three words (you would have thought I asked for a novel) that they felt described their Dad. I love how they made it their own by adding a heart and a smiley face!

Check out a close-up of these Studio Calico mistable hexagons. I read that they could be stamped on, so I tried it and they turned out great.

Those babies add a whole new element of fun to embellishing. I wish I had more now, lol!

The girl with the film strip stamp

Oh how I love my film strip stamp...it's an oldie but a goodie and I'm a little obsessed with it lately. It really is a great way to work in a lot of photos and papers without looking too busy, in my opinion.

On this layout, I used the stamped film strips to hold some confetti and banners, along with my photos, but my favorite part of the layout is the mixed font title with the camera button and "click, click, click" bubble!

So, what cool supplies are in your stash that you haven't used in a while? Is it stamps, embellishments, paper or maybe a tool (or all of the above)? Go dig them out and use them on a layout. Trust me, 5 years from now, no one will know (or care) that you used some supply that wasn't the latest and greatest tool, embellishment, or paper of the moment, kwim? In fact, go find something old to love, right now. If you are like me, your craft room is full of forgotten treasures, just waiting to be rediscovered!

Got Sketch #142

Happy Monday everyone! A few weeks ago, Wyatt was honored with the first ever "Heart of an Eagle" award at the wrestling banquet. They described him as an "anomaly" which the dictionary defines as "something that deviates from what is standard, normal or expected." The coach went on to say he is the kind of student you want representing your team and school! I'm so proud of him!

The new sketch from Got Sketch was perfect for documenting the moment.

I think it would be really easy to switch up the number of photos in the sketch and I really liked how many patterned papers I was able to use. Super versatile...definitely want to use this one again.
